Making oak desks to size

Making two wall-mounted desks. Handy now that the children are becoming teenagers and we are working and studying more from home. With a beautiful 26mm Oak A/B Fingerjointed panels and pine beams from OPMAATZAGEN.nl it was actually a piece of cake.

Make your own workstations

ordered from OPMAATZAGEN.nl Start by degreasing thoroughly with ammonia or natural vinegar. Then sand. 2x varnishes with colorless varnish. Take good brushes to prevent hair from getting into your paint.

First of all, screw the pine beams to the wall at a height of 72.0 cm (above size). Then mount the 3 desk poles of the Karwei (72.0 cm) to the bottom of the panels. One should be exactly in the middle between the 2 parts. Finally, screw the bottom panels to the pine beams. (take into account the thickness of the spruce beam and the oak top when choosing the length of the screw!).

26mm thick is very nice. The panels are rounded by 2mm. You could also take 4 mm, a photo on the site would have been useful here.
