DIY: Make your own coat rack and wall cupboard for the hall, by Stijn

This is the second time I have ordered wood from TOSIZE.cz. Once again, excellent service with perfectly measured wood. This time, we completed two projects, as seen in the photos.

My wife created a coat rack based on a picture she saw in a magazine. She also used metal hooks to hang the coats, which were purchased from Xenos.

In addition, I made shelves for a wall cabinet. I used pine battens to create the shelf supports.

DIY Coat Rack

The picture speaks for itself. I used a spade drill bit for the holes, small screws for assembly, and metal brackets to hang it up.

DIY Wall Cabinet

I first leveled the shelves in the wall cabinet and marked their positions. Then, I pre-drilled the pine battens, used an awl to transfer the hole positions onto the wall, drilled holes with a power drill, inserted wall plugs, and mounted the battens to the wall. Done.

Final Dimensions: What are the exterior measurements?

Coat Rack: L90.0 x H105.0 x D85.0 cm
Shelves: Since the walls were not completely straight, the shelves were cut to size precisely.
