Description of Tessa

For our dining room and extra living room, we were looking for a beautiful, calm cabinet after we had changed the interior to lighter colors. Our black locker cabinet had to make way for a light, tall cabinet. The space is quite high (around 3.20 meters), and we wanted the cabinet to match the height of the steel doors. By choosing a taller cabinet, the height of the room is emphasized more. Strangely enough, the room now feels larger than before, as a larger piece of furniture has been placed in it.

How I made this project

Through the website of TOSIZE.cz, we completely designed the cabinet ourselves. It's handy that you can fully customize the height and width, choose where the shelves or doors go, and even decide the thickness of the shelves. If you encounter any issues while designing, you get excellent assistance when you contact them.

The cabinet was delivered neatly, and I immediately noticed the shelves were of heavy quality. There was a clear diagram included, and through QR codes, we could watch videos explaining the entire assembly process. First, we sorted all the dowels and screws, and after that, it was fairly simple to assemble the cabinet. Although not every step went equally fast, the process went smoothly overall. The cabinet is built from left to right. After placing the last top shelf, we sealed some visible seams, which made a big difference, especially on the inside.

The next day, we started painting. We chose not to use a primer but lightly sanded the cabinet before painting. For the finish, we used matte lacquer from Shades By Eric Kuster in the color Dune (color number 7210). We are very happy with the result.
